Sáenz & Asociados was founded as a firm in January 1979 by brothers Humberto Sáenz Cevallos and Mario Enrique Sáenz. The first clients of the firm were companies related to the construction industry, as well as banks, credit unions, and  other savings and loan associations.

The practice of the firm has expanded steadily and now represents and advise not only companies belonging to banking and construction, but also domestic and foreign companies related to different sectors such as telecommunications, gas and energy, insurance services, pharmaceutical industry, technological support, etc.
